Charles Kermit "Buck" Ewing Wall Sculpture

Charles Kermit "Buck" Ewing (1910–1976), monochromatic abstract wall assemblage, c.1968. Constructed in wood. Ewing, the influential founder and first head of the University of Tennessee's Art Department in 1948, was primarily a painter. The piece is unsigned, but purchased from the original collector who purchased it from the artist circa 1970.
Condition: Very good, missing a couple of pieces, original white oil paint has mellowed to a warm ivory tone
